I am trying to use Tabs Builder to build tabs and subtabs similar to this page:

http://fttest1.firsttrace.com/support/subscription/index.html#offerings

This a page with main tabs and subtabs.  What I get when I add the second set of tabs the FAQ tab is this;

http://fttest1.firsttrace.com/testTabs-Likno/tabsTemplate.html

The body of the subtabs is visible but the tabs disappear.  How can I build this with tab builder?  What am i doing wrong!

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

The tabs you want to recreate are created using custom scripts.

I am afraid that the only way to achieve the same visual result and embed a tab control within another, is to add it as an external page.

Create a separate page that will only have the “subtab” and then add it to the main tab using the following option:

add external page as main tab

Hi,
Is it possible to have likno buttons in a likno modal window?
If so, can you please provide instructions of how it can be done.
Thank you.
Rob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Rob,

By “Likno Buttons” do you mean a Likno menu? If this is the case, the best way to achieve this is to set the Modal Window content to “External page”.

Then you create your page and add the menu as you would normally do.

Hi,

I am a registered user and I recently made a modal window with a content larger than the size of the window. And what I expected happens, a scrollbar at the right side.

Now I bought an iPad, the newest, and there, when I open my website and start the modal window it appears without the scrollbar.

Is that a known problem or do I do something wrong?

Hope to hear from you soon,

Regards,
Wim

Dear Wim,

Was the content an external page? We discovered that Apple recently decided on iPads to block scrollbars in iframes. This is a recent development with great opposition on the net as this move from Apple has no reason whatsoever.

This is something that we cannot work around if Apple decides to keep it this way. The only solution would be to edit your external page and give <body> a fixed height so that there is a scrollbar produced within that page. Still, this is not a closed issue, as we are still expecting a response from Apple.

Dear Kostas,

Thanks for your fast reply. And yes, it is an external page. That means I have to check if the user is using an iPad and then to offer him another way to look at the info on that external page.

By the way, How do you check for an iPad?

Thanks again for your answer.
Wim

Dear Support,

Please take a look at this testing link: http://englam.pcmaster.com.sg/model.html.

The height in % does not work for IE, is there any tweak?

Stanley

Hello again,

Which browser are you using to test this?

Also, can you please try upgrading to the latest Modal Window build? I have extended your Update Plan so that you can do this for free. Note that you will need to also get a new Activation Code when you install the latest version (you’ll get this from the User Area).

Dear Support,

I've updated the software, right now it does not work for Internet explorer at all.  As for FireFox, part of the window model appears transparent. Please take a look at http://englam.pcmaster.com.sg/model.html/

I rename the model window from CardScan to ModelWindow in side application and did as follow:

1. Recompile and link

2. Upload model.html (testing page) to server.

3. Upload model folder to server which contains; "\likno-scripts", "\likno-scripts\likno-modal-project" and "\likno-scripts\likno-modal-project.js".

Kindly advise please.

Regards,

Stanley

I noticed that your online library file has an invalid character which was probably caused by an incompatibility in your operating system. I have changed the specific character in the library so that it should work ok in your system too.

Please download again the latest version of Modal Windows (246.2) and let me know:

Dear Support,

Also,  model windows body background color (background-color:#EAF1FB;) does not work on Internet Explorer, should be light blue but it appears white.

Dear Stanley,

This is because the external page you are loading has a white background. We have added code that tries to pass the modal background into the loaded page, but this is not supported in all browsers as it is considered a “security breach” by some.

The correct solution would be to change the actual page that is loaded, so that it has the background you want.

Regarding the “loading image”, this is also not possible in “external pages”, as there you see the page immediately, but you see it loading as you would see it in your browser if you loaded only that page.

If you click on where it says Carrizo a modal will appear with a menu inside of it. I am trying to get a background to show up and I cant get rid of the white background.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

When you are using an external page, the background should really be defined within that page (using CSS for the <body>).

In our library we do have code that tried to pass the modal background to the external page’s body, but this cannot work in some browsers due to the stricter security restrictions they have.

The solution would be to change your external page (Carrizo.htm) as follows:

<body style="background-color: #EAF1FB;">
