Dear Claudio,

I checked your page, and the problem is that you have two elements with the same ID:

two elements with same ID

Each ID should be unique in an HTML document, or it is considered “invalid HTML”. Most browsers will resolve this by keeping the first ID they find, but IE will just ignore all of them.

Please leave only one “nav” ID to fix the problem.

Kostas

Knowledge Base support case for Likno Web Tabs Builder, abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.

I'm testing Tabs Builder to see if to purchase or not.  The one feature I'm interested in which I haven't been able to get to work with other tools doesn't appear to work in Tabs Builder either.

Is there something special I need to do to get the Height of the tabs to work with "auto" selected?  It appears its fixed at about 300 pixels.  I can set to fixed and changed pixels and that works.  Its just Auto that doesn't.

My test consists of copying the sample code as my main page and in the project tabs folder the Body Source is set to "External".  I think enter a html document in the page link.  The page resides in same directory as main page.  The page displays except the height of the tab doesn't expand automatically.

Also to test, I didn't dump files to web site, just compiled all in directory and used a browser to open the main file.  Not sure if this matters or not???

using FF 14.0.1

Hello,

When the “source” type is set to “external” then you are actually showing a separate page into an iframe. It is not possible to automatically calculate the size of an external page, hence when you are using “external” and your size is set to “auto”, it is automatically translated to the default size (which is 300px). This is true for all our builders when it comes to “external” content.

If your external page does not contain any code (e.g. if it is plain HMTL and images), then you can try calling it as “Ajax”. This way it is possible to have “auto” size.

Dear Alexandros,

This issue is related to the following CSS line in your “main.css”:

img { max-width: 100% }

We have already corrected the problem in the latest AllWebMenus version (build 896.2), so you only need to download it and recompile your menu to fix the problem.

Hi

Using firefox I get a JS error with Allwebmenus, version 844. I know my support plan is expired, but I am hoping you can point me in the right direction as its driving me mad ! You can see it at www.world-war.co.uk, using a mobile. It works fine in all other browsers, and the problem is not consistent in FF, sometimes it works, most times it doesn't.

Hope  you can help !
thank you .. Mike

Hello,

I believe that this issue was caused by an incompatibility in one of the latest Firefox versions. We have already resolved this in newer AllWebMenus versions.

All you need to do is to extend your Update Plan in order to gain access to the latest AllWebMenus version and recompile your project with it.

Note that the version you have also has known issues with Safari 5+ which was released about a year later.

thanks for the info Kostas

The odd thing is that I have another menu which always works fine in  FF do you happen to know what it is about the menu that is triggering the problem ?

Dear Mike,

I am afraid I am not sure which exact combination was causing the problem. If you want I can forward your question to our developer team and find out for you.

However, as I said before Firefox is not the only browser that has issues; in Safari 5+ your menu is not working at all, and Safari 5+ is used by all Apple products (Mac, iPad, iPhone etc)! Moreover, I know that this issue is not related to a specific feature but to the safari engine itself. And maybe there are more issues with other new browsers that I have not checked (e.g. IE10). Hence I strongly recommend that you extend your Update Plan and get the latest version that supports all the latest browsers.

Hello Kostas

good news, it seems the problem was caused by the FF addon I was using to switch the user agent to simulate mobile and tablet devices. I killed it and the problem went away.

I have checked my traffic for iphone and ipad and they are all OK.

cheers .. Mike
