If I use Mozilla it's ok. - If I use Google Chrome it's ok - but if I use Internet Explorer 9 it's not OK . no Windows appears.
You can test  www.seeshaupt.de

Dear Rudolf,

I did some further testing and it seems that the modal does not always appear when viewing the page in “quirks mode”.

IE will enter “quirks mode” (essentially IE5.5 compatibility mode) if your page does not have a valid DOCTYPE.

Please try changing this:

<html>

To this:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

This will allow IE9 to work in its normal mode, and it will also allow it to support CSS3 features (such as drop-shadows and rounded corners that are not supported in “quirks mode”).

Regards,
Kostas

Hi Kostas,

may be a problem with the frame:

www.seeshaupt.de the index.htm is a frame with a link to start-page to  www.seeshaupt.de/Seeshaupt_Start1.htm.

If you call direct this page like www.seeshaupt.de/Seeshaupt_Start1.htm  the windows Modal worked fine

Hello again,

So does this resolve your problem? Or do you need to keep the frame and still make it work?

If you need the frame, did you try adding proper DOCTYPE in both your pages? (the parent page and the inner framed page)

Kostas

Hi Kostas

A lot of thanks.

Now Windows Modal worked fine with IE9.

Solution: only in the frame (e.g Index.htm) is necessary to include the Doctype.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Rudolf

My new web menu is working fine in FF, Chrome and Safari, but it is not working in IE version 9.0.8112.16421

Can you please help me?

Dear Claudio,

I checked your page, and the problem is that you have two elements with the same ID:

two elements with same ID

Each ID should be unique in an HTML document, or it is considered “invalid HTML”. Most browsers will resolve this by keeping the first ID they find, but IE will just ignore all of them.

Please leave only one “nav” ID to fix the problem.

Kostas

My client is complaining to me that his navigation cannot be seen on IE9 browser.  Can you tell me what I need to do fix the AllWebMenus code?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

It appears that the menu on your website was compiled with an *old* version of AllWebMenus (see “release history” here: http://www.likno.com/whatsnew.html ).

You need to update/upgrade your AllWebMenus and re-compile/re-upload your menu files, as the *old* compiled menu cannot support the latest browsers and standards. Some browser versions did not even exist by that time (e.g. IE9 was officially released in March 2011).

How?

- Login to your Likno User Area at http://www.likno.com/userarea

- Click the "View/Manage Licenses and Plans":

view manage menu licenses

- See there if your Update Plan has expired or not.

If "expired" then click the "Renew" link and renew your Update Plan.

- Download the current Version (Build) ( http://www.likno.com/download.html ) and install it.

- In your Likno User Area, click the "Get Activation Code" link and get a new Activation Code for this updated installation:

get activation code

- Open your old project file (.awm) in AllWebMenus, re-compile it and then upload the new menu files (along with the "awmdata" folder) to your website.

Note that you may need to delete your browser’s Temporary Internet Files (or cache files) before refreshing the page in order to see the menu.

Thanks!

This menu should be visible on the Avion Flight Center page and then several pages connected to it.

However, the menu is visible in Chrome and Firefox browsers, but not in IE9. In an older version of IE, there is a tab in the site selection bar that says "compatability" for sites made with older versions. That works fine also, however, IE9 does not have that "compatability" tab.

I compiled the menu again, but did not seem to make any difference. Is there anything I should do, or upgrade/update my All Web menus program to make it work in IE9???

Thanks.

Ron
