Support Case Month: May 2013
Hello, I had a working drop-down menu running for years on my site: {URL REMOVED}. But week before last it disappeared.
Today I renewed my subscription and updated my installation of Likno, recompiled the file and FTPd to the server. Cleared my browser cache but still can't see the menu in IE 10. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hello,
It seems that although you compiled your menu with the latest version and you indeed uploaded the “menu.js”, you neglected to upload the “awmdata” folder which has all the library files:

Please upload this too in order to fix the problem.

Hello Kim,
The problem is that although you compiled your menu with a pretty recent version, the online library files (“awmdata” folder) are still from very old version (Jan ’10):

Please make sure that you also upload the “awmdata” folder when you compiled your menu in order to resolve the problem.

Kostas

Dear Terry,
I believe I have found what was causing the problem on the library side and I have corrected it.
Please download the latest build (254.2 – you should now have 254.1) and let me know if this fixes the problem.

Initial Email Subject: Issue with floating image in menu
Support Case Month: January 2013
I use floating images in my menus. They show up fine in IE but not Firefox. The space for the image is there but the image is not. It is like it is recognizing that there should be an image there but it will not display. Can you tell me why? The attached image shows the floated image and the properties for the floating image.
Thanks,
Matt

Dear Matt,
I see that you are using a very old version of AllWebMenus and it is very possible that this is the cause of the problem. I strongly recommend downloading, installing and (if required) activating the latest AllWebMenus version. Then recompile your menu with this and upload the compiled menu file and menu library folder (“main_menu_top.js” file and “awmData-main_menu_top” folder).

Thank you. I did not realize the link to the index page needed to be re-built.

Hello,
I checked your site and noticed that you have two menus compiled with different versions and with the library files in different folders.
This can cause conflicts and most likely you currently end up using the old libraries (as it is linked last in your page).
Please make sure that all your menus are compiled with the latest version and that your uploaded library files are also of the latest version.
Ideally you should setup your menus to all reside under the same folder and point to a single library file folder. To do this, you need to make sure that:
1) each menu has a different name
2) all your menus have the same root folder
3) your subfolders are set to the default for all menus

Kostas
