When I update the menu it does not update. I have followed the directions.
Link and upload, it does not show up in my editor. I use Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression web and Microsoft 2003.
I have tried it in all my web editors. I have the menu built I need to update the changes.

Dear Sami,
First of all, please make sure that you are compiling into the correct folder. I am stressing this as it is very easy especially in windows 7 to compile into the “Documents” folder of a different user and hence believe that the compiled menu is never updated. Confirm by checking the compiled menu file (“menu.js”) date.
If this is indeed the correct new file, then make sure that you upload it correctly, and also try deleting the browser’s Cache Files (or Temporary Internet Files).

It’s still not showing up. I am compiling but there is a message showing that the files will not be seen in a different location when I compile, I click ok and the menu compiles into the right menu location. It says to upload and I don’t see the new menu in preview after the compilation. I have other named menus in the awm folder, should I delete those. I’m concerned that if I delete these files that I will lose the menu.

Dear Sami,
First of all, please send me screenshots of any messages you see, so that I understand exactly what is going on.
Secondly, is the problem that you do not see the menu within the preview of Dreamweaver & Expression Web?
If so, then this is natural! The standard preview of these product does not allow JavaScript components to display. In order to see the menu you will have to look at your pages with a browser, or you will have to use the advanced preview (i.e. “Live View” for Dreamweaver & “SuperPreview” for Expression Web).
The best test however is always to see your pages in different browsers.

Here is the message I receive every time I open my web menu. I click ok and it continues to the menu.
I have compiled the menu and it doesn’t show up online either.

Dear Sami,
The first message you get is telling you that an image used in the menu is not found. To correct this issue you need to:
1) if you indeed want to use this image, use the “Locate & Restore Missing Images” button and locate this image in your hard drive
OR
2) if this image is no longer used, open any image property (to get to the Image Manager), right click on the missing image and “clear links” to that image:
Regarding the online menu, I checked your site with different browsers and the menu was there working fine:
Do you still not see it?
