For some reason my project file and menu are not the same as what is on the production web site.  I tried to copy over all the asmdata, menu.js and the project file.

The menu in development is missing a menu item from what’s in production.  Is it possible to re-build the project file from the menu.js file?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Brad,

I am afraid this cannot be done automatically.

So, the best solution is to open that menu project in AllWebMenus Pro and just add the menu item missing.

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.

Can you work on the same menu from two different computers? For example, if I create a menu at home can I send the menu to my work computer to continue editing?

Hello Kirk,

Yes, you are able to work the same menu from 2 computers as long as you have AllWebMenus Pro installed on both computers. You can save and then export your menu project as a ZIP file (AllWebMenus -> File -> Export Project -> As ZIP file) and then get that zip to the other computer. Unzip it, open the .awm file and continue editing.

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.

I was planning on upgrading my all web menus but wanted to transfer my current program to a new computer first.

The instructions I read said to upgrade to the latest version I am entitled to, get a new id and a new activation code. I downloaded the program, it's now on the new computer but none of my existing programs carried over. What do I do to get my current projects carried over.

Please let me know.

Pamela

Hello Pamela,

You only need to copy them from your old PC and transfer them to the new one. Then, you can open the .awm files in your AllWebMenus.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.Watch movie online The Transporter Refueled (2015)

Support Case Month: December 2013

Hello my friends in support ...

My computer crashed with my likno software and all my awm files for my clients.

Have two questions:
      1) What is the best way to proceed to download the software. Have a new windows 8 computer.  Had "just" upgraded AllWebMenus 5 I believe.  Have some recent support tickets.
      2)  Still have to check my Carbonite backup for the awm files for my clients, but just in case is there any other access to them?

Anything else I should know??

Thanks!
Margie

Hello Margie,

Sad to see you had a computer crash.

1) The procedure to download, install and activate your AllWebMenus is:

    a. Login to your likno user area (http://www.likno.com/userarea)

    b. Go to AllWebMenus -> Download most recent build you are entitled to activate.

    c. Click Download.

    d. Install AllWebMenus.

    e. Open AllWebMenus.

    f. Go to Help -> Enter Activation Code.

    g. Copy the Installation ID and switch back to your likno user area.

    h. Go to AllWebMenus -> Get Activation Code.

    i. Paste the Installation ID you copied and click "Give me the Activation Code".

    j. Switch back to AllWebMenus and paste the Activation Code.

    k. Click "Activate" and you are ready to go.

2) If you hard drive is crashed I am afraid you cannot find any awm backup files. Those files are located in  "c:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\Likno Software\AllWebMenus\AutoBackup\.."
I hope you have uploaded the awm files to your server.
Otherwise I am afraid this cannot be done automatically...

However, there is a partial solution (you regain around 80% of your existing work), read here: http://www.likno.com/blog/lost-allwebmenus-project/254/

Let me know if you need more information.

Kind Regards.

Thank you!!  This certainly helps a lot.
Am assuming my online backup will have the awm files.  Makes it much easier to know where to go to find "all" of them.  I have saved them per client folder.  Did not realize I could load them to the server.

Thank you again,
Margie

Hello

I just recently had to download the AllWebMenus program but I can't open my old files I created with the .js extension. Can you help me out here.

Thank You

Delmar

Hello Delmar,

The .js files cannot be opened in AllWebMenus. Those are the compiled files. In order to edit your menu project you need to open the .awm files.

Let me know if you need more help.
