Hi Kostas,
The new v.5 is just a little different than the 2003 version I had. I’m not quite understanding the positioning to get the menu to fit on the web page where I want it. On the web page template, I have a column on the left side in which the menu is placed. However, it is offset to towards the middle of the page. How do I position it to be in the place I want it to be? Thank you for your help!
Thanks,
Roxanne

Dear Roxanne,
It seems that you have specifically set the menu to be have an offset relative to the positioning element:

Also, I see that your positioning code is very old and possibly not as accurate as it could be.
Please find the following in your page:
<td height="2">
<div align="center"> <style>.awmAnchor {position:relative}</style> <span id='awmAnchor-Northside' class='awmAnchor'></span></div></td>
And change it into this:
<td height="2" id='awmAnchor-Northside'> </td>
This will position your menu relative to the table cell with pixel-perfect accuracy.
Regards,
Kostas

Hi again Kostas,
I changed the source code you suggested, but the positioning of the menu is still offset to the right in the table cell. Please let me know what I should do to get this menu centered within the table cell.

Did you also remove the offsets I showed you in the screenshot?
Also, considering that the table cell is smaller than the menu width, you may want to change your Positioning to the following values:

Dear Ilan,
I checked your page again and I only see IE9 being a bit off-place. However I cannot replicate the problem I saw in the video. The menu stays put in its starting page even when I resize the browser.
Regarding the position error, I see that you have added browser-specific offsets:

Can you please clean these up to see if the problem will be corrected?
Best Regards,
Kostas

Unless I'm missing it, here's an idea for your menu program (which by the way I love). You currently have a way to choose the space between items. But, how about a way to insert an image between items?
If you look at the URL I listed, you can see a menu I made (the old fashion hard way) and the items have a diamond shape between them.
I know you have a background image (2) function that's right justified. But, that's not really going to work for me because I want to center the text on the remaining blank area to the left.
Let me know what you think or if I'm missing a feature that's already like this.
Thanks,
Steve

Hello Steve, I see what you mean.
It could be possible if we enhance the "Has Separator" property to also have images, etc.

Oops! Forgot to include the image of the menu…
Never say never…
Here's a menu I started and put a diamond object between the menu items.
What I did was float the image to the right center then use the "x" offset to push it out past the menu button for the width of the diamond.
Then I set the distance between menu items to same distance as the offset.
I had to play a little with the padding to center the text.
It's still not perfect but, I bet I could get it to work with a little more playing around.

Hello Kostas
could you take a look at this site {URL REMOVED}
You will see that the image is on the left. So how would I set up the menu location if I wanted it not underneath that image but underneath the image but in the middle of the page?

Hello Phil,
if you want a "centered" menu on the page, just use the "Windows Relative" positioning option and choose CENTER-CENTER in both Anchors. Then adjust the Y offset so that it goes to proper height on page and keep the X offset to zero.
I hope this is what you want to achieve.

Kostas
