HI Guys,
A couple of things. When you open Web scroller, it would be great if you could see the last projects you were working on, like Adobe does. When working on a slideshow it would be great if you could see the current item. Having the slide show showing is great but if you've got a large complicated project you want to see what the current slide looks like.

Dear Colin,

Thank you for your feedback.

Regarding the recent projects, you should be able to access these through the "Project" menu:

recent scroller projects

Regarding the selected item, the preview should always start with the “current” item in view:

preview current slider item

Does this not happen in your case? Or did you maybe mean something else?

Initial Email Subject: Menu does not appear on preview pages
Support Case Month: February 2013

I use SiteSpinner Pro to build my webpages. I cannot get my menu to show up on my project pages in preview mode. Of course this should show me what my published page will look like.

If I "publish to disk" and compile to that page, then open the local page with "HTML Kit" everything looks fine, the menu is placed and operational. If I try to open the preview pages in the editor I get a script error popup that says "The value of the property 'awmBuildMenu' is null or undefined, not a function object."
If I try to compile to the preview page nothing happens.

What suggestions do you have to allow me to see a finished page before I move it to my website?

Thanks

Hello,

I am afraid that the preview of SiteSpinner (as well as that of most web builders) does not support complex JavaScript components.

In Dreamweaver or Expression Web there is an option of “live preview” (or “SuperPreview” or something like that in EW) which does fully support JavaScript. I do not know if SiteSpinner has a similar option, but if it does, then the menu should work there.

I've done everything I can think of to get the menu to show up online to no avail. I've had this problem before and would like to know what I'm doing wrong. The AWM preview shows the menu, but not when I access it online.

Hello,

This is because of the subfolders and the way you setup the "Compiled Folders" and uploaded the menu.js.

The URL of the page is this:

http://www.site.com/articles/something.html

(inside a subfolder)

However, the menu is here:

http://www.site.com/pphmenu.js

(in root)

And the page looks inside the subfolder for the menu:

menu linking code

This is why the menu is not found and cannot be displayed.

So, you either have uploaded the menu in the wrong folder OR you did not use the proper "Compiled Folders" in your Project Properties.

menu project properties, compiled subfolders

One practical solution would be to massively replace the menu-linking code section to src="/pphmenu.js" everywhere it is used.

Just add the "/" character and it will work everywhere (both root and subfolders).

Initial Email Subject: Preview web page upon mouseover
Support Case Month: May 2012

Hello Support:

I am looking for a script (more like your tooltip script) that does the following:

When I mouseover a link, it shows a preview image of the web page. You should also be able to click on that same link to be transferred to that web page.

Please go to http://www.codecanyon.net and mouseover their images. You see a preview of the web page and then can also click on it to go to that page. Can the tooltip script do this? Do you have a script that can do this?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

What you describe (showing a preview of the linked site) would be possible only through an online service that does this (taking screenshots of all sites out there). A service that can do this for example is “thumbalizr.com”. Using their API along with our Tooltips you can achieve the desired effect.

Also note, that having the sites as screenshot images will likely work faster than using a real online screenshot service (but then again, you’ll need to make a screenshot for each link manually).

Hello Kostas:

Thank you for your response:

To manually insert an image as a preview is fine.  However, can the Tooltips or any of the Likno scripts do a mouseover (to preview the image) and also have the capability to click on the link to go to that page. It appears that two actions (mouseover and click) have to be available to do what CodeCanyon does.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Of course! With Tooltips, you can show the tooltip on mouse-over and the link will work normally.

Note that these are standard page links with images in them. You do not need an extra script to make the link work. The tooltip is the only thing on top of a standard link.

Support Case Month: July 2012

I am using Modal Windows.  I am trying to load a Background Image that uses a Gradient.  It is not appearing the proper way.  The prior background color is still showing even though it has been removed.  Is there any problem using a gradient in WebModal?

Thanks,
Bob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Bob,

There should not be a problem with gradient background in a modal window. Does this not even work in the preview? Are you sure your CSS code is correct? (I am asking because the gradient background requires a pretty complex CSS which is different for each browser.)

Can you please send me your Modal project so that I can have a look?

The gradient is actually an image file, so I am just trying to set the background image.

Then the most likely problem is that the image is not in the correct place online. If you send me the URL of an example page I can test this for you.
