Support Case Month: July 2012

I'm creating a new Drupal website with a horizontal menu and 1 line horizontal submenu (look at "Kunden" or "Konatkt").

My problem:
The submenu disappears when I click an item of the submenu! The submenu should only disappear when I click a new main item (I set STICKY SUBMENU and I unchecked "clicks somewhere on page" and "hovers over another item in the same group").

Thank you for your support

Many Regards

Josef

Dear Josef,

This happens because each time you click on a menu item you load a new page (and the menu is rebuilt from scratch).

What you want to do, is to use the automatic highlight of the current page which will also open the submenu in which the page link resides:

Dear Kostas,

thank you very much - this option was already checked. Now I tried the website under SAFARI, CHROME and IE and everything works as designed. Under FIREFOX the submenu disappears (the browser cache was cleared). Is this a browser problem?!

Again thank you very much for your answer

Josef

Dear Josef,

I just checked your page with Firefox and I see that the menu works fine.

Do you still not see the submenu in your Firefox? Would you please try deleting the cache files again and then press Ctrl+F5 to fully refresh the page?

Hello,

I had to make some changes to a clients menu and now the images are not showing in Firefox. I have checked the folders and they are correct. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Virginia,

If you did upload the images, then there is something wrong with your server. I just checked your site to see the problem, and it seems as if there is no image or library file uploaded (although the compiled menu file is there).

Please double-check that you have correctly uploaded the “awmdata” folder (which contains all images and library files), delete your browser’s cache files and refresh the page.

Hello again,

I see that you have now fixed the problem by changing the Linking Code to point under “TCMenu”.

Let me know if you need any more help.

I'm having trouble with my menus caching.  When I put in a new version the user receives the old version until they hit F5 (IE).  Can you help me please

Hello,

I am afraid that there is nothing we can do on our side regarding this issue.  The only way to force a refresh is through your server settings.

You should contact your host for more details on how to do this.

Initial Email Subject: re compiling
Support Case Month: October 2012

I found everything else from my last email. There is a problem I have with the re-compiling to my website. It doesn't show up every time I re-compile. I have deleted all the awm files. menu.js, awm data, and the rest.

Please advise

Sami

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Sami,

When you recompile, you just need to upload the “menu.js” and “awmdata” folder. The “awm” file is the project file that you need in order to change the menu, but it is not used online.

Keep in mind that in order to see the changes, after you upload the files you should delete your browser’s cache files and refresh the page.

Initial Email Subject: Lines showing within modal window (Google Chrome only)
Support Case Month: August 2012

Please go to  http://www.designsaroundyou.com/  and please do the following:

(1) Click on Privacy and Terms & Condition (at the bottom).

(2) Use the scroll bar to scroll to the bottom of the modal window and then scroll back up.

After doing this step 2, there are lines appearing within the modal window. This only happens in Google Chrome. Can you fix this?

Thank you.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I just did what you said in Chrome but did not notice any lines, I see it perfectly OK:

Modal Window with scrollbar

Can you send me a screenshot of what you see in Chrome?

I have this Chrome version:

Google Chrome version

Then… wait! I managed to do this by updating my Chrome to version 21. I do see this:

Modal window with line problem

So, it seems that Chrome changed something that causes this problem.

Thanks for your reply. I look forward to your reply next week. Thank you again for checking into this problem.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Pamela,

I performed several tests, and this is not a standard behavior. It seems that each time I scroll up and down, depending on the speed with which I do this I get different lines or no lines at all.

This is definitely a “refresh” bug of Chrome and I am afraid that we cannot do anything about it, as it affects all scrolled iframes and not only our Modal Window.

We will submit a bug report to Google regarding this issue, but I cannot guarantee on when they will fix this.

Thank you for your understanding.
