In a previous response, you stated that Likno was going to update the AllWebMenus to be responsive by October. Based on the information on your website, it seems that you have completed making these menus responsive. Were you planning on doing something different or is this information the updated one.
Responsive menus (for your responsive website layouts or standard websites).

You can choose your menu to alter its presentation or behavior on different devices and screen widths, in any of the following 3 ways:

- Different styling
- Different content
- Different positioning

Hello,

Indeed the estimated date of release is still at late October. We are sorry that this entry in our "features" page is confusing, we added beforehand so that we can get some feedback from users that are looking for this feature. We will add a "release date" next to this feature, so that users are not confused.

When we will have some "testing" version, we will send it to you, so that we get your feedback. However, this will not be before early October.

Best Regards,
Aris Filokostas

I have found 2 bugs in the allwebmenus product.
1. The menu does not work in some browsers like, Safari.
2. If the menu comes down across a javascript image window with changing images the menu fades behind the image window.
Have these bugs been fixed yet?
I really can't use the software with these bugs in it.

Hello,

Regarding the Safari issue, I assume you are referring to Safari 5+. This is a known issue as Safari 5 introduced some new incompatibilities and it has been fixed even before the official Safari 5 release. You just need to get the latest AllWebMenus version to fix this.

Regarding the other issue, it sounds like a z-index thing. I assume the “JavaScript image window” has a z-index higher than AllWebMenus. If this is the case, you just need to increase the AllWebMenus z-index to make it bigger than the image window z-index:

menu z-index setting

If this does not resolve the problem, please send me the URL where this happens so that I can see what is really wrong.

Dear John,

Thanks for the feedback! This was a simple refresh issue, and it is fixed in the new release that I just uploaded.

Hello,

That is great.

I have a question, or rather, there is something I want to achieve with a modal window which presently it will not do (I think)

I have a modal window called befair. It has a short statement saying I promise I will not take pictures from this area. That part is going to be tarted up with IP numbers etc.  I removed all via the screen abilities to close the modal window and I moved the CLOSE link to the bottom centre and re-worded it to say "I Agree" I then set the window so that it would not return for 14 days.  All of it is in working order but it does not do what I want. I'm sure your thinking it so before you say it, yes I know this will not stop the experienced from taking anything they like.

If the user simply refreshes the underlying page the modal window does not appear and the "I Agree" was not used. The point of the exercise is lost.

What I would like to do is using the same kind of window, force it to re-appear UNTIL the user clicks "I Agree", the Close option, and then not appear again for the specified number of days. At the moment it seems that the cookie is set the moment the modal window is created. It would be nice if you could create the cookie after the modal window close event is triggered by one of the preferred methods. What do you think ?

Best Wishes, John

Dear John,

If I understand correctly, you want to have a window that will not constantly reopen until you check "I agree" and then close it?

Then you need to:

1) set the "agree" checkbox as follows:

<input type="checkbox" class="lwmw_noreopen" lwmw_noreopen_period="14" style="vertical-align: -3px;"/> I Agree

2) set the “After Close” to re-open the window right after it closes:

open close modal window settings

Let me know if this worked and send me a URL to check if it doesn’t.

It's probably something I'm not doing right but just recently any web page I create that uses the tooltips has both horizontal and vertical scrollbars.

The horizontal and vertical scrollbars are even present from within the Likno tooltips preview pane, even on a brand new blank default project.

My older tooltips projects are fine, only the newly created ones have scrollbars. If you need more information from me my email address is {EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED}. All in all though, I just love all your software!

It has changed the way I build web sites! 🙂

Dear John,

We apologize for this, it seems that a small bug slipped into our latest release causing the scrollbars. You are only the second user to inform us about this, the first one being about an hour ahead of you.

We have just fixed this and uploaded a new release (build 210.2):

Please download it and let us know if you see any more problems.

A quick follow-up to my last email which was sent moments ago. The problem of the disappearing allwebmenus tooltips when used with modal windows only seems to be a problem in Firefox, not I.E. I'm using Firefox version 11.0

That seems to have fixed the scrollbars problem Kostas, however now I  have found something else that may be a bug.

I created an allwebmenus menu, added the tooltips to it, and everything worked fine with the new tooltips fix you just released. Next I added one more menu item to the menu and for that item I used the modal window option to pop up a modal window. The modal window appears as it should however now the tooltips have quit working.

I just discovered this and have not investigated it further yet but I thought I'd report it.

Dear John,

Are you saying that if you add a modal window in the page then the tooltips stop working altogether? Or that the specific menu item does not show a tooltip when it is set to open a modal window?

If you have a sample page online, please send me the URL so that I can check it.

Hello Kostas, I hope you enjoyed your holiday. 🙂

Are you saying that if you add a modal window in the page then the tooltips stop working altogether

Yes. Everything else works as it should, the tooltips disappear altogether in Firefox and they disappear most of the time in the Internet Explorer.

I'm using Firefox 11, IE 9, plus the current versions of allwebmenus, webmodalwindows, and webtooltips. Below is a sample page that should illustrate the problem which goes away as soon as I remove the link to the modal window script (likno-scripts/likno-modal-project.js).

Dear John,

It seems that this has to do with the timing of each library loading.

After some tests, I found that if you move the Modal Linking Code to be last (e.g. first Tooltips, then AllWebMenus, then Modal) then everything works fine!

I have also forwarded the case to our developers for further consideration.

I will let you know as soon as I have an answer.

Thank you for the follow-up Kostas, indeed, moving the modal window link code below the others does solve the problem.

Dear John,

We just released new versions for both Modal & Tooltips, which should resolve the loading order issue.

These versions have a new loading system that is also faster, and a more efficient preview.

Please download and test them, and let me know if you find any issues.
