I am trying to Link my menu to the sharepoint site and I 'm having trouble. Can you provide me with the necessary steps to publish/link the Menu to the site.
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Hello,
We do not have a specific plugin for SharePoint, as it was never intended by Microsoft to be a site-builder application (they have FrontPage and Expression Web for this).
Still, you should be able to use AllWebMenus as a stand-alone application with SharePoint. Please follow the generic instructions in our site:
http://www.likno.com/wat_generic.html
In "Step 3", I recommend using the manual method, where you copy-paste the Linking Code into your file(s). Ideally, if you use a template you will only have to add the code there and it will propagate into the rest of your pages. Make sure that your Linking Code "src" is root-relative, i.e. it starts with a slash "/".

Kostas

Hi,
Am I able to use your Sliding Aqua type menu ...but add my own color and images?
I want to match an existing site ...but use this type menu.
The site I want to match is the related URL.
Thanks, Pat...

Hello Pat,
You can definitely create a similar design to the one that you sent me, by changing colors and images.
If you wish, we also have a "custom menu creation service" were we create the theme of the menu that you want.
Thank you.

I am creating my pull downs and do not know how to get it into my expressions web page. I am not the most web page experienced and have been asked to add this to a site. Can you send me clear instructions to get the information added to my test page that I have on my local computer?
thanks
Pete

Dear Pete,
Are you using the Expression Web plugin? If not, then you should, as this will make things much easier for you.
If you are using Expression Web 1 or 2, then you should make sure that you installed the related plugin during the AllWebMenus installation (if not, just re-install on top):

If you are using Expression Web 4, then you need to download and install the related plugin from our site:
http://www.likno.com/microsoft-expression-web.html
In either case, in the above page you will find detailed instructions on how to include the menu to your page.

Kostas

Support Case Month: July 2012
I'm creating a new Drupal website with a horizontal menu and 1 line horizontal submenu (look at "Kunden" or "Konatkt").
My problem:
The submenu disappears when I click an item of the submenu! The submenu should only disappear when I click a new main item (I set STICKY SUBMENU and I unchecked "clicks somewhere on page" and "hovers over another item in the same group").
Thank you for your support
Many Regards
Josef

Dear Josef,
This happens because each time you click on a menu item you load a new page (and the menu is rebuilt from scratch).
What you want to do, is to use the automatic highlight of the current page which will also open the submenu in which the page link resides:

Dear Kostas,
thank you very much - this option was already checked. Now I tried the website under SAFARI, CHROME and IE and everything works as designed. Under FIREFOX the submenu disappears (the browser cache was cleared). Is this a browser problem?!
Again thank you very much for your answer
Josef

Dear Josef,
I just checked your page with Firefox and I see that the menu works fine.
Do you still not see the submenu in your Firefox? Would you please try deleting the cache files again and then press Ctrl+F5 to fully refresh the page?

Kostas

Hi,
From past support answers, I know that we can host the menu on a separate server and on it's own site. We are working on doing just that but my developer asked me to relay this question to you for an answer.
"Can you get in touch with Likno and confirm whether or not we can upload the JS and related files to an accessible server, and then install the menu on Blogger. I successfully embedded a widget to my test Blogger blog. The widget contains links to JS files hosted on a 3rd party server, so in theory, it should work."
Thank you for your time and patience.
Steve
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Dear Steve,
We have done similar test in the past. There should be no problem in uploading your JS file in a different server and this should work in Blogger or anywhere else, as long as you are not using the menu in https pages. If you try to do this with https pages then it is considered a security breach as all files must originate strictly from the same server (in this case even “likno.com” and “www.likno.com” are considered different domains!).
