...

Dear Raul,

You should not copy the menu in multiple places. Instead, you only need to adjust the Linking Code.

In your page you have a Linking Code that looks something like this:

<!-- ******** BEGIN ALLWEBMENUS CODE FOR menu ******** -->

<script type="text/javascript">var MenuLinkedBy="AllWebMenus [4]",awmMenuName="menu",awmBN="GN";awmAltUrl="";</script>

<script charset="UTF-8" src="menu.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">awmBuildMenu();</script>

<!-- ******** END ALLWEBMENUS CODE FOR menu ******** -->

In order to fix the problem, all you need to do is to make sure the “src” path is correct for all pages. For example you could change it to:

    src="/RGB/menu.js"

This way, it will work regardless of how deep your folders are.

Thanks.

In the menu.js I have line like this:

it=s0.addItemWithImages(1,2,2,"Contacto",n,n,"",n,n,n,3,3,3,n,n,n,"contacto.html",n,n,n,"contacto.html",n,142,30,2,0,0,0,n, n,n,0,0,0,0,0,n,n,n,0,0,0,2,n);

where I point to a html file. But when I use the index file more deep this link don't run. I have try to write

it=s0.addItemWithImages(1,2,2,"Contacto",n,n,"",n,n,n,3,3,3,n,n,n,"contacto.html",n,n,n,"../contacto.html",n,142,30,2,0,0,0,n, n,n,0,0,0,0,0,n,n,n,0,0,0,2,n);

but continue with the same problem.

Regards,

Raúl

Dear Raul,

As I suggested with the “src” issue, the same applies to the links. If your links do not work in inner folders, then you need to make them “root relative”.

So you should not change them to “../contacto.html”, but to “/RGB/contacto.html”, or when you move the site online if “contacto” is a page in the root folder “/contacto.html”.

Hello! We have released a new version of Likno Web Scroller (jQuery Slider) Builder: Version 1.0 build #116.

Check out What's New

- Added the "Item Modal" tab in "Project Items (F2)" with the ability to show a Modal Window when the user clicks on a scroller item, either using an "internal modal window engine" or the "Likno Web Modal Windows Builder" engine (separate product).

scroller modal window

- Added the "%page_links%" variable to the available variables (%current_page%, %total_pages%) of the "Show Page Numbers (Custom)" option of the Navigation Bar.

scroller page links variable

- Updated the "Use both Text/HTML and Image values (shows both)" option to properly function for the "Item Tooltip" and "Item Modal" features.

- Updated the "Sample Code (F4)" area to show the related code of certain configurations.

- Added the "Show Scroller Only" and the "Background Color" to the "detached" Preview Pane (soon to be added to the "attached" Preview Pane too).

scroller preview background

- Added automatic correction for older projects that did not have the "Bullets" and "Spacer" Navigation Bar CSS Classes.

- Fixed a case where the Navigation Bar would appear floating on page when it was positioned into an area that did not exist.

- Fixed the "Item Tooltip" feature to correctly handle the "AJAX" & "External" (URL) sources.

- Fixed the "with acceleration (on hold)" feature, which allows the user to hold the mouse clicked on a navigation arrow and have the scroller items accelerate their movement.

- Fixed an issue where the "Play on Page Load (automatically)" option did not work in IE.

- Fixed a bug related to missing images.

- Fixed "Example 3" to have proper spacing.

- Fixed the DIV custom population classes to work properly.

- Fixed the Navigation Arrows to always stay on top of the content.

- Several minor interface improvements.

Here you can read about an interesting Use Case of a feature of AllWebMenus, that is actually utilized on our own website (as of May 2012).

If you visit any page of our Likno.com website (http://www.likno.com for example) you will notice that apart from the menu, the following likno "controls" also exist there:

1. A Likno Tooltip, which appears when placing the mouse over any image (icon) of the "See Also" section (at the top part of the page):

SNAGHTMLbcaa63b_thumb[1]

2. A Likno Accordion, which is actually that "See Also" section (the icons are the accordion "headers" that open sequentially, while the product names are their related accordion "bodies").

So, there are 2 Likno Projects on that page, one Tooltip Project (created with our Likno Web Tooltips Builder) and one Accordion Project (created with our Likno Web Accordion Builder).

But if you view the "Page Source" on any page you will not find any "linking code" for those Projects, so how are they still functional?

The answer is that both of these projects have been "declared" inside AllWebMenus on our website's main menu project, at the "Link & Run Other Likno Projects" feature.

SNAGHTMLd0dcf06

Therefore, since this menu runs on almost every page of our website, that Tooltip and that Accordion also runs on the same pages without any need for you to explicitly add their "linking code" to those pages!

Here you can read about an interesting Use Case of a very powerful feature of Likno Web Tooltips Builder, that is actually utilized on our own website (as of May 2012).

If you visit any page of our Likno.com website (http://www.likno.com for example), you will notice that a Likno tooltip appears when placing the mouse over any image (icon) of the "See Also" section (at the top part of the page):

SNAGHTMLbcaa63b

The interesting part here is that each image (icon) shows the same tooltip but with different content; this content is automatically retrieved from the image's "ALT" attribute.

This means that you can dynamically change the content of a tooltip by just using a different value on the "alt" attribute (in this case) OR any other custom attribute of yours.

This capability is explained in detail here: LWTT: "In Page" feature – How to open the *same tooltip with different content*, retrieved from the page’s HTML (on-the-fly)

HOW THIS IS IMPLEMENTED ON OUR WEBSITE

If you view the source code of the likno page, you will see the following code for the 1st icon ("img") of that section:

SNAGHTMLc246334

After the code screenshot above, you see the interface screenshot of the related Likno Web Tooltips Builder project, which uses the following values:

1. The "In Page" option as the Source of the tooltip's content. This means that the content of each tooltip will be retrieved from the page, dynamically.

2. The "Retrieve the content from the "title" (or "alt") attribute of page elements" option. This means that our script parses the entire page and qualifies all elements that use a "title" or "alt" attribute as potential tooltip "triggers", with their "title" or "alt" attribute values being the content of the tooltip that they will trigger.

3. The "SOME of the page elements that use the above attribute" value at the Opens When ("Trigger") property. This means that we do NOT want ALL the images of the page that use the "alt" attribute (or any page element that uses the "title" attribute) to show a tooltip. Instead we want to restrict this behavior only to those elements that ALSO use the Class="acc_hd" value in their tags.

So, if you mouse over any other image on the same web page (that uses the "alt" attribute) you will see that this tooltip does not appear for them.

For example, no tooltip appears when mousing over the top-left image (the "liknosoftware" logo):

SNAGHTMLc339819

Why?

Because while it does have an "alt" attribute (first matching criterion) in its tag, it does NOT have the Class="acc_hd" value (second matching criterion):

SNAGHTMLc4bb23e

You realize that you can use this feature with many combinations, which makes it rather powerful.

If you want to learn more about all possible options, please read the related topic here:
