November 15th, 2014AWM: How can I manually link a menu to Joomla pages?
Knowledge Base support case for AllWebMenus Pro, abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.
Initial Email From: Richard
Initial Email Subject: Joomla menu code automatically on all pages
Support Case Month: April 2014
It seems when using the Joomla plugin the AllWebMenus code is placed on all pages whether used on one or all pages. Is this true? Adding unused code is a loading waste. Is there a way around this?

Hello Richard,
I am afraid that is the way it works, as it finds the <body> (usually the index.php in templates) and adds the Menu Linking Code.
You may want to manually add your menu to your pages, you can compile your menu, then upload the files to your server and link the menu only to the page’s you need the menu to be displayed in.
Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Problem is where is the code for the pages? I’m leaving a note on the Joomlart forum but if you know how to access the individual pages to place the menu code and where the compiled code goes I would be appreciative.

Hello Richard,
The Linking Code for AllWebMenus needs to be added right after the <body> tag.
I didn't think it is a Joomla website, so the most probable is that the <body> code is in a template file (maybe index.php or header.php) and it is going to be shared by all the pages.
This is the reason you see the code in all the pages. So, I am afraid that there is no reason to manually add you menu.
However, if you still want to manually add it then you will find the Linking Code that you should use when you hit Link and then go to Tab "OR …give me the code to add it myself".
Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Again, I’m not sure where the code is for the individual Joomla pages.
