Hallo,

since I already have domains, how can I add a Web Accordion to my CMS Website?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Yves

Hello Yves,

Our tool is independent of a CMS as long as you can edit its templates and be able to put javascripts online. What is your CMS by the way?

Also, what do you mean by saying "I got one from Switzerland"? You mean a domain for a website? OR a license of our tools? I am not sure what you mean here.

Hallo,

many thanks for your answer. I work with ZP Zeta Producer.

All my domains for example {URL REMOVED} a.s.o. are registered here in Switzerland. Therefore I bought them some time ago also by a swiss Webhoster/Provider.

Is this correct?

· Tools

· Compile for…

· Generic

· Continue for Compile

This page confuses me a little bit. I do have my IP Nr., though I don’t know how I put it into the mask? Or is this the wrong side, in order to upload the accordion to my website?

Many thanks for your great help.

Hello Yves,

Since you have multiple domains, just purchase the unlimited domains license and you will not have to worry about "domains", etc.

unlimited domains accordion license

Concerning your Builder, I assume that it allows you to add your own code inside the pages. If yes, then you need to add the linking code inside the page and/or positioning code for the accordion. Also, you need to add the "likno-scripts" folder where the compiled project will be and upload it (publish it) online.

Let me know if this is not clear. Thank you.

Hello again,

that means, the purchase of unlimited Domains License has nothing to do with a registration of a new Domain (for example yves@yves.ch) through you?

As I understand, for other CMS as Joomla, I chose under Tools „Generic“. And then? To be honest, I have no idea, what I have to add to below field (as I send it to you earlier – see below this mail).

Do I get the "likno-scripts" folder, once I have bought the licence?

Pls I need some more help. Furthermore English is not my language. Do you have a video under youtube.com, where it explains, how to add the accordion to a CMS?

Will it be finally a quellcode or what is it called?

Many thanks in advance for your great help.

Kind regards

Yves

Hello Yves,

First, please make sure that you edit this folder to be like the following: (I see that you had changed that to "root")

compiled subfolders

It should point to the "likno-scripts" folder.

When you compile your project all your compiled files will get inside this folder that is relative to the ROOT folder that you specified here:

site root accordion folder

Just make sure that you upload everything contained in this folder online (and its subfolder), relative to the root folder of your online CMS. Then add the linking code to your page, that should point to the accordion project.

I’ll be very happy, once it will work : )

An upload via FileZilla:

Likno_accordion_lib.jscontaining.js which includes:

Jquery.js

Likno_accordion_libs.js

Likno_accordion_projects.js

Added this code to my CMS Website

What did I forget?

Hello,

I see from your screenshot that you have the TRIAL version and you can only compile for “localhost”.

This means that your accordions will only show locally and not when you upload them into your site.

If you want you can send me the URL of your online page and I can confirm this.

Thanks

It should appear here:

What do I have to do the next time?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello again,

I am afraid that you can only see it online *after* you purchase and activate the application.

With the TRIAL version you cannot see it online.

Why do I get this msg?
I don’t understand!

Likno Web Accordion Builder
Allocation Error

An error was detected while trying to allocate.
spital-webdesign.ch domain is already allocated through another license of yours.
There is no reason to allocate the same domain to another license.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

We had put the domain ourselves so that you do not lose time, this is why you got this message.

All is OK with your domain, so now this is what you should do:

1. Get a NEW Activation Code from your User Area and enter it again inside the application, so that the DOMAIN is updates inside the application

2. RE-compile and RE-upload all compiled files online

3. Do not forger to enter the positioning ID inside an element of your CMS (see the sample code):

web accordion position id

If you are not sure how to do this, you may also choose to replace an image that you add somewhere inside your page, by choosing this option instead:

web accordion positioning

Don't forget to choose the proper domain when you re-compile your projects. It should appear in the "domains" list of project properties.

Hi.

I really like your menus!!

Can I incorporate your menus in a page in wordpress and then add a mobile theme like WPTouch so that if I link my iphone app properly to this page I will get a very nice looking "iphone app menu" right on my iphone just like as intended?

Comments about getting you menus to work with/on mobile phones??

Thanks!

Talk soon,

Dave

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Dave,

Incorporating your menu in WordPress is pretty easy as we have developed a special plugin to help you with this task:

http://www.likno.com/addins/wordpress-menu.html

You should not have any problem regardless of the WordPress Theme you are using. Just note that the WordPress Theme will not affect the menu appearance.

If you want your menu to look like a typical iPhone menu, then you need to use the related AllWebMenus Template.

 menu themes/examples/templates

Or you can create a similar design yourself.

You may also find additional themes and templates (other than the ones provided for free within the AllWebMenus installation) here:

http://www.likno.com/awmtemplates.php?type=all

For any kind of menu: drop-down menu, sliding menu, CSS menu, Javascript menu

Finally, our menus are cross-platform and support all platforms, such as Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, mobile phones/smartphones (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry 6+) and more.

Hello everybody,

We just wanted to inform you that we have released new Mega Menus examples.

If you go to our example page, you will be able to see 2 Mega Menu examples available, as well as download their project file.

The examples are simple variations of the vertical mega drop-down menus found at the foodnetwork.com and actionenvelope.com websites:

http://www.likno.com/examples.html?example=mega_dropdown_menu1

http://www.likno.com/examples.html?example=mega_dropdown_menu2

As Jakob Nielsen (the "king of usability") says in his article on mega drop-down menus usability, mega menus have the following characteristics:

  • Big, two-dimensional panels divided into groups of navigation options
  • Navigation choices structured through layout, typography, and (sometimes) icons
  • Everything visible at once — no scrolling
  • Vertical or horizontal form factors when activated from top navigation bars; when activated from left-hand navigation, they might appear as mega fly-outs.

How is this menu created?

  • Each submenu is a single item
  • This item uses the "HTML - Full Mode" option at its "Text" property
  • Using full HTML you enter any content you like at the submenu item

Since AllWebMenus v5.1.764, your menus can use 3 different styles for their groups and 3 different styles for their items:

Main Group Style
(initially assigned to the Main Menu Group, i.e. 1st level group)

Main Items Style
(initially assigned to the items of the Main Menu Group, i.e. 1st level items)

Sub Groups Style
(initially assigned to the 1st submenus stemming from the Main Menu items, i.e. 2nd level groups)

Sub Items Style
(initially assigned to the 1st submenu items contained in the above submenus, i.e. 2nd level items)

Sub Groups Style+
(initially assigned to the rest of submenus stemming from the above items, i.e. 3rd level groups and beyond)

Sub Items Style+
(initially assigned to the rest of submenu items contained in the above submenus, i.e. 3rd level items and beyond)

This is how a menu would look if the <Background Color> and <Border> on every item or group had the above colors that demonstrate the initial style assignments:

Available Styles menu

Note: The above assignments are the initial ones. If you wish, you can later change the assignments as wish.

Why is the 3rd style (i.e. "Style+") useful?

1. You can use themes that have different appearance on 3rd-level submenus and beyond:

Themes that use this technique: Juice, Fading Purple, FlatSky, Orange Bubbles (free, contained in your AllWebMenus by default)
You may also find extra themes using this technique from Theme Pack 36 and above at: http://www.likno.com/awmthemes.php

For example, at theme "Olive Plastic" (Theme Pack 36), its 3rd-level items (and beyond) use less padding than its 2nd-level items:

At the SlideTreeXP sliding menu theme (Theme Pack 38, "Sliding Menu Add-in" required), the 3rd-level items do not use an icon, while the 2nd-level items do:

Such arrangements would not have been possible if all submenus had the same style.

2. You can apply very interesting behaviors to sliding menus (available through the extra "Sliding Menu Add-in"), that combine both "sliding" and "non-sliding" cascading submenus!

For example, the SlideSummer sliding menu theme below (Theme Pack 37, "Sliding Menu Add-in" required)) uses a sliding submenu for all its Main Menu items, while the rest of its submenus are the standard non-sliding ones. Such "sliding/non-sliding" menu combinations are very suitable in many website layouts and would not have been possible if all submenus had the same style.

3. The 3rd-level submenus can differ from the 2nd-level submenus by only a small but very important detail, that allows for a different design if the parent group is horizontal or vertical.

At the following examples the 2nd-level submenu does not have a "Header" (its <Has Header> property is set to "No"), while the 3rd-level submenu (and beyond) needs to have a "Header" so that the design closes properly at top:

At the following sliding menu themes (Theme Pack 38, "Sliding Menu Add-in" required) the 2nd-level submenus are different than the 3rd-level submenus, either in colors, images or indentation:
