How can I see forms in my site?

May I do something in this issue?

José

Hello Jose,

First, I would suggest you to move the code from the embedded and create a new page with that code.

Then, you can select the Source Content of your modal window to be External and select that page.

external content source in modal window

If problem persists, I would like to see the page where the modal should appear, as the url you sent me does not have any modal window linking and trigger code.

Thank you!

Kind Regards,

Hello,

Your linking code looks ok. You need to place that linking code after the <body> tag in your pages. Make sure you have uploaded the likno-scripts folder produced after you have compiled your Modal Window  project.

According to your url the path for your modal window javascript file should be http://{URL REMOVED}/modals/likno-scripts/popup_with_id.js

Then in your pages you need to have the code that triggers the modal window.

Check this in Likno Web Modal Windows to see how you should have the code.

modal window trigger code

For example, you could have
<a id="Modal_Window_1" href="javascript:void(0);">Test modal</a>

Thank you!

Hi,

I am sure you have heard "I can't get it to work" before and I have read and tried following instructions which seems so simple. I can not get the window to pop up on site (Localhost folder) named EZorb2013a. Clicking on Preview works great. I am ready to purchase this program but can not get it to work in my site.
I am using NetObject Fusion 12 with Windows8 64 Pro.

For testing I have Local Published with one link image on index.html page linked to a page named "heel_spurs.html"located in html file folder.

Preview:
The "heel_spur" page will Glide in as set up. Works great.

When I run index.html using FireFox and click on image link, the heel_spur page just opens as normal page. No Modal Page is displayed.

Questions:
1.0   In the index.html page there is no code pasted.
2.0  How does the "<a href="#" target="ezorbModal_Window_1">link</a>" come into play? Should it not be pasted somewhere?

Thanks,
Larry

Dear Larry,

I am not sure if I understand the problem 100%, but I will try to give you a general idea on how Modal Windows work.

Assuming that the test-case is to open click a link in a page and open another page in a modal window, you need to:

1) Put the Linking Code in the parent page

2) Make sure that the link that should open the other page has the correct “trigger code”

There are many ways to trigger a modal window. One example is the code you asked about:

<a href="#" target="ezorbModal_Window_1">link</a>

This code will open the modal window named “ezorbModal_Window_1” (as long as you have such a modal window in your project and it is Linked to the page).

Hi Kostas,

All I want to do is click on an image icon located on Home Page that is link to another page (heel_spurs.html) to open in a modal window.
I now have been able to get only the (close button) to be displayed after switching from External to Element. I understand what the program is supposed to do but I guess not setting it up correctly. I will have about a hundred of these images when click on will open associated modal window. I want the Home page to look like Windows8 page. So what method do your recommend to accomplish this? As mentioned below I am using NetObject Fusion 13 to generate the code on the html pages.
Thank you,
Larry

Dear Larry,

If you are going to use multiple links in your page that open the same window with different content, then I recommend that you use the “Make certain links/forms in page open in this window” population option:

make certain links/forms in page open the modal window

Then in your page, you need to add links like:

<a href="./html/heel_spurs.html" target="ezorbModal_Window_1_single">…</a>

This way you have a single modal window and you just load different content in it each time.

If you also need to load in the modal window content that is within the parent page, for example the following div:

<div id="mycontent">hello</div>

Then you need a link like this:

<a href="#mycontent" target="ezorbModal_Window_1_single">…</a>

(so basically instead of a real link you need to use a hash and then the element id)

Kostas
