Hi there menu Gods!  Hey, I'm trying out your responsive menus, and finding that with the Ul/Li  method, my menu disappears on version 2-4.  It's there and fine when I have ul/li unchecked, but the moment I combine responsive with populate through ul/li, I lose smaller versions.  I'm running 5.3 build 902, and have attached my source code.

Dear William,

You are correct, currently the UL/LI and Responsive Menus do not go together, but this will be added in the next build.

Did you not get the following message when you tried to do this?

responsive menu add-in

Looking again at the screenshot, I can see that I did it in the other order – I chose responsive first, and then UL/LI populate.  I think that’s why I didn’t get the warning.

Dear Will,

You are correct! We should also have a message when selecting UL/LI or CSS menu. Anyway, I believe it will not take long until we fully support the responsive menus, so just hang on a little more.

Regarding your other two requests, I will forward them to our developers to see what they think of them. Please keep in mind that we also have a “Feature Rush” service where you pay for the development of a feature and we pledge to develop, test and release it within 10 working days. If you are interested in this I can get you a quote from our sales department.

Initial Email Subject: Strange jumping behavior for css bottom menu depending on how far down on page it is placed
Support Case Month: January 2013

I want to use two css ul/li menus on a webpage:
http://www.tsgusa.com/test_bottommenu.htm
When I move the bottom menu down to create a longer white space in between the menus, a new strange mouseover behavior occurs.  Upon mouseover only on the bottom menu items, the page jumps up to the top before I can click on the menu item to select it.
http://www.tsgusa.com/test_bottommenujumper.htm
I need to create a longer page but as soon as I place the bottom menu below the browser bar, the jumping behavior occurs.
This did not happen with the same menu done in the java menu genre.
Using more recent version of menu pro.  Attached relevant files.

Hello,

This behavior is caused by a feature in the keyboard navigation that in this case turned into a bug. You can temporarily correct it by moving the ULLI code into the div where the menu will actually be positioned.

In the meantime I have forwarded this to our developers and I expect the issue to be permanently fixed in the library in the next release. I will let you know as soon as the permanent fix is online.

I have a question regarding AWM.  We are working with someone rebuilding the navigation on our website.  We built our basis with AWM.  He then told us that your program would not support SEO.  I thought that I had read in a few places that it will.  When we are using links in our Navigation will they be recognized by SEO if we build and compile with AWM?

Thanks,
Bob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Bob,

It does indeed support SEO in two different ways. The first is by using the included sitemap generators (under the “Tools” menu). The second is by using a “ULLI” menu in which case the menu structure (and links) is directly included in every page.

Please check the “SEO” section under Project Properties for more details.

Let me know if you need more specific help.

Knowledge Base support case for Likno Web Accordion Builder, abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.

Initial Email From:

Initial Email Subject: Accordion builder DRUPAL Addin
Support Case Month: July 2012

Hello,

I try to integrate an accordion in my Drupal 7 basic page node "Test" by using the Drupal Accordion Module Add-in with shortcode positioning.

Everything works fine if I use the accordion-builder option "Populate the accordion panes inside this project".

As soon as I choose the desired option "Populate the accordion panes inside your page, through a UL/LI structure" no accordions appear?
(The positioning is "embedded in page  replace the UL/LI structure that populates your accordion panes",  a <ul><li> structure exists on the node,  the shortcode is correctly edited on this node)

My accordion project is based upon "Example 01.lwac" (no changes).

So where is my mistake?

Thank you for help

Regards
Josef

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Josef,

I am afraid that the UL/LI population method is not currently supported by the Drupal plugin.

It is in the TODO list, but since you are the first to ever ask for this it was considered as a low-priority task until now.

I will forward this to our developer team so that it becomes a task of higher priority.

Dear Kostas,

thank you for your open answer - it's no good news. Because of this feature I even purchased an unlimited license today. I need this, because the website where we intend to use this function will have several content editors at different places - so I would be very glad if this documented feature will come very soon.

Josef

Dear Josef,

I have just uploaded a new Accordion release (and Drupal module) that supports ULLI and DIVs structure in Drupal.

Please download the Accordion Builder here:

http://www.likno.com/jquery-accordion/download.php

and the Drupal 7 module here:

http://www.likno.com/jquery-accordion/drupal-accordion.html

Let me know if you find any problems.

Important: due to a Drupal limitation, you should change your positioning to “Element” and use the ID you are given by the Drupal module. If you choose “replace ULLI/DIV structure” then the accordion will appear at the bottom of the page.

Example:

div element

Initial Email From:

Initial Email Subject: Display of multiple menus on one webpage
Support Case Month: July 2012

I am trying to display two separate menus on the same webpage. One is horizontal and the other vertical. I have linked both menus to the webpage using the compile function. Each menu has a different name. Both are positioned using the element option. The menus are compiled into the awmdata folder. The awmdata folder and the .js scripts are in the www.ok-safe.com/ root path. The horizontal menu displays and the vertical does not. The menu type that is not displaying is #15 - Smooth Scroll. The allocated space of 1200 x 500 for the menu is evident but no menu (see above URL). I am at a loss as to why the #15 menu type doesn't display. What is the likely problem?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

It seems that you have set your vertical menu (“Randy_Bright_Smooth_Scroll”) to be populated in the page using a UL/LI structure.

However there is no such structure in your page, hence your menu has no items! Note that when you select the UL/LI method, you have to enter the UL/LI structure in your page(s) manually.

I suggest that you set the menu back to being populated within the application:

populate menu inside project

Let me know if you need anything else.
