Hello there. I have verified that the menu path is correct, but when I compile, the menu.js does not get updated. Also, when I go to link my pages to the menu, none of my html pages are visible to link to? I just updated our license last night and downloaded the latest version this morning.

Hello,

This sounds very weird! Did you try deleting (or moving) the existing “menu.js” to see if a new file is created when you compile?

Regarding the Linking, please make sure that you have selected the correct file extension in the Link Dialog.

Thank you very much for the quick reply, Kostas. I have checked the dialogue box and it is selected html files.

I uninstalled the program and I am currently reinstalling it. I will delete the menu.js file to see if another one is generated. I did save it as bankshot.js and that file isn’t showing up either.

Hi Kostas,

Here is a few screenshots.

1) I manually navigated to the directory that the bankshot.awm file is located.

2) I opened the menu. I compiled it to both menu.js and created a new one bankshot.js

3) The menu.js file is still dated 9/5 and the new bankshot.js isn’t visible.

Dear Justin,

Is it possible that AllWebMenus does not have write permissions on your PC from some reason?

Did you try “Run as administrator”? does this change anything?

This is something I was planning to check for… it seems that you are running AllWebMenus as a different user.

If you run AllWebMenus as a different user or if you run it as admin, it is possible that you see a different copy of your files, especially if you are running Vista (but also possible in win7).

For example you may see that you are writing something directly into “C:\” but you are actually writing it into “C:\User\<theuser>\WOW(x86)\something…”.

This “feature” is one of the bad “security” designs Microsoft did with UAC in Windows Vista. Anyway, we can resolve all these in our live support much faster, so let’s do this.
