I purchased this program 09/09/2006

However, it does not recognize the activation code I already have.

I understand you have upgraded and I don’t care about that I like the older more user friendly version.

I want to use that one again.

Also, I don’t use it all the time so I don’t need the upgrade.

How can you fix this to accept my code?

I have this installed on my computer but it does not accept my code.

This was purchased through Likno.Com.

Please respond!

Thank You!

Marsha

Dear Marsha,

I am afraid that this is not possible! The old version has been dropped since 2008 and now there is no way to restore it or create new Activation Codes for the old version.

You will have to use the new version which you can get for free with the license you already own.

What you need to do is to download the new version from here:

http://www.frameshow.com/download-next-air.htm

There is a help page to help you get started with the new interface here:

http://www.frameshow.com/air-application-help.php

And also some info on how to access your old frames:

http://www.frameshow.com/frame_download_help.htm

Note: the new version does not require an Activation, you just have to log into the application using your User Area login/password.

Kostas

Hello,

I am afraid that there is nothing we can do on our side regarding this issue.  The only way to force a refresh is through your server settings.

You should contact your host for more details on how to do this.

Hi guys,

I have another question that I’m hoping that you can help me with. I’m trying to use AllWebMenus to pull up an embedded YouTube video such as:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/j07X-zHUpT8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Where/how would I put in the code?

Thanks

Cary

Hello,

Directly into the HTML of the item I guess:

menu html full mode

Remember to turn the item to “HTML – Full Mode” to ensure that the video is fully usable.

Hi Kostas,

What I need is that when you click on the menu option, say video 1, the video window spawns on top of the menu. Is that possible? What you are showing below is embedding the video in the menu.  My bad on that one. I should have been a little more specific.

Thanks

Cary

Dear Cary,

If you want the window to appear in a separate floating window, then you need the Likno Web Modal Windows Builder application (or a similar modal window application).

This will allow you to create a modal window that holds the video, and you can use AllWebMenus to open this modal.

Hi Kostas,

Is that the only way to have a link to a video and have that video appear with a player on the same page as the menu? Hope I’m saying all that right.

Thanks.

Cary

Dear Cary,

Well, you are saying that you want to create a floating layer (modal window) that will hold the video.

I guess that you can either custom-program it, or you can get an application that does that. There are several applications and scripts out there that do this.

From our suite, the application that does this is Likno Web Modal Windows Builder. Of course this has to be purchased as a separate application.

All of these are irrelevant to the menu. AllWebMenus can call and open ANY solution you choose for the modal window. So if you can find a free script and put it in your page to open the video, you can still call this through AllWebMenus.

Hi Folk,

I have just tried to download the latest build of AWM and the download button in the user area instead of doing what it should passes over to the download managers in Chrome and Firefox latest versions.

Dear Brent,

What do you mean exactly by “download managers”?

Is this not what you see?

user area download dialog box

In Chrome in my case it starts downloading immediately, as it always have done.

Did you by any chance install a download manager lately? If so, it is possible that anything you try to download will now pass through that.

Hi Kostas,

I have just rechecked and it is Internet Download Manager and Free Download Manager that pick up the following:

download manager

Please remember that in places like Africa, Southern Australia and New Zealand data packet loss is always an issue on DSL and 3G so we all use download managers that are capable of going back and retrieving lost data packets to ensure file integrity on downloads larger than 12MB.

Brent

I understand, but this is not something that changed now, right?

Does this work though? Or are you getting an empty file? if it does not work, can you please send me what you download in an attachment?

Since you are trying to get the latest version, you can also get it from the default download page which does not have the extra security the User Area has (and is also faster):

http://www.likno.com/download.html

Finally, if you *have* to use the User Area (in case your Update Plan is expired and you need to access an older version), I guess you can temporarily disable your download manager.

Of course!

You need to download the latest version you are entitled to activate from your Likno User Area account  and then get a new Activation Code for it:

AllWebMenus activation on a new computer

(Note that the Installation ID will be different in your new PC – do not use your old one!)
